IIT भिलाई ने 77वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस मनाया

भिलाई। आईआईटी भिलाई ने पहली बार अपने स्थायी परिसर में स्वतंत्रता दिवस मनाया। आईआईटी भिलाई के निदेशक प्रोफेसर राजीव प्रकाश ने परिसर के शैक्षणिक क्षेत्र में संस्थान सदस्यों की उपस्थिति में झंडा फहराया। इसके बाद राष्ट्रगान गाया गया और छात्रों और सुरक्षाकर्मियों    द्वारा एक भव्य परेड का प्रदर्शन किया गया।
प्रोफेसर प्रकाश ने आजादी की तलाश में छत्तीसगढ़ के अनगिनत लोगों शहीद वीर नारायण सिंह, हनुमान सिंह, शहीद वीर गुंडाधुर, बिरसा मुंडा और श्रीमती राधा बाई जैसे दिग्गजों के बलिदान को याद किया। उन्होंने संस्थान के निरंतर विकास पर भी गर्व व्यक्त किया और संस्थान में  उपस्थित सदस्यों से आने वाले वर्ष में शिक्षा और अनुसंधान के क्षेत्र में सफलता की नई ऊंचाइयों को छूने और प्रसिद्धि पाने के लिए कड़ी मेहनत करने का संकल्प लेने का आग्रह किया। कार्यक्रम का समापन मिठाई एवं जलपान वितरण के साथ हुआ। इस उत्सव में आईआईटी भिलाई के छात्र, संकाय सदस्य और कर्मचारियों के साथ-साथ सीपीडब्ल्यूडी और एलएंडटी के कर्मचारी भी शामिल हुए।

IIT Bhilai celebrates 77th Independence Day

August 16, 2023: Indian Institute of Technology Bhilai celebrated Independence Day 2023 for the first time at its permanent campus. Prof. Rajiv Prakash, Director, IIT Bhilai, hoisted the flag in the Academic Zone in the presence of members of the campus community. This was followed by the singing of the National Anthem and a grand parade by students and security guards.

Prof. Prakash addressed the gatheringby remembering the sacrifices of countless people of Chhattisgarh in the quest for freedom – stalwarts such as Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh, Hanuman Singh, Shaheed Veer Gundadhur, Birsa Munda, and Smt Radha Bai. He also expressed pride in the continuing growth of the institute and urged the institute community to pledge to work harder to scale greater heights of success and renown in the field of education and research in the year to come. The programme concluded with the distribution of sweets and refreshments. Students, faculty and staff members of IIT Bhilai along with employees of CPWD and L&T attended the celebration.
